During my internship, i had alsoe the opportunity to see how the prospective confectioners worked.
The students who have specialized in
patisserie have presented here a part of their diploma work.
These are cakes in marzipan.

  3. Pernilla the cakes look just wonderful. How do you encourage your students to be so creative? In Australia our stduents who specialise do not focus so much on marzipan. They do a bigger variety of work. Is marzipan a very popular type of cake in Sweden?

  4. Hello! Marzipan is very popular in Sweden. From my own experience, i think marzipan is relatively easy to handle, you can create endless creations without having that much knowledge in pastry. Students will also develop skills in the creation of chocolate and caramell work. So as i see it, students have very great imagination when it comes to creating. The motivation, i think they get when they realize how wide the pastry profession is and what options there are.
