This is part of the students so-called "market place", here, students have the sale of bread, variouse pastries, charcuterie and a café.
Students from the various vocational programs produce goods that are for sale here at very
reasonable prices.
In the "Market Place", students learn customer relations and service, it is mainly
first-year students who are working here whit the sale of the goods, they also
manufacture simple sandwiches that they sell in the cafe part.

  1. This is wonderful. We have some of these 'marketplaces' but only in the big schools or Vocational Colleges. Students do learn a lot about food production, cooking and customer relations. Do you spervise them when they are doing the selling?

    1. Hello! It is wonderful, and a great opportunity for students. I bought something here almost every day when i did my internship! There is always a teacher with the "marketplace", which helps students and to teach them right when they need help. Essentially, the first-year students taking vocational program in the restaurant and food that have practical work here. But even immigrant students, these are here to primarily learn Swedish and names of various foods that are sold here. They may of course also able to speak Swedish when dealing with customers.

    1. Hello! Hade you no so-called "market square" on the school that you did work experience at? Was there perhaps just a bakery? On Burgårdens adult high school, i know there works only one person with the sale and there is no student.

  4. In the school I work we have a shop next to the bakery. We try to have it open about 2-3 days a week. Sometimes the students have a person for help when they work in the store. In the shop we have bread, cakes, biscuits.
