How they decided to lay the table

Here is a project where the students work together in service, kitchen, flower arrangement and in aesthetic. Three students had to work with a color and from that color come up with how to lay the table, aesthetically and make the flower arrangement.

Then they had to set a menu in that color, in this case red, and of course make and present the food.
Menu

Starter; a hot tomato soup with fresh basil and grissini
Look at the work, all is the student's fantasy
Main course, salmon with root pure served with white wine sauce, pumpkin boiled in wine and fennel

Dessert; raspberry pie with raspberry parfait and vanilla sauce

This project was really great to be a part of and try all of this great food. It was both exiting and inspiring

  1. It looks both beautiful and thought out. Nice set-up and certainly a very rewarding task for students to get out. Server was this menu for guests? Or the students themselves enjoy their creativity?

  2. What a fantastic project for your students petra. In a school that i work with in Sydney the students have to do this kind of planning, preparation and serving. It is a very big job and it takes the teacher a lot of time to teachg the students all the skills they need. The tables look very beautiful Petra. How did you encourage your students to do this?

    1. It isa a hard work to inspire the students, som of them love to create and hard work. but some wasent so great as this one. As i said before this teacher is one of a kind, bin in the business for a long time and just love the kids and tries really hard to get them inspired.

  3. The food looks delicious! I have the same question as Pernilla, is the food served for guests?

    1. To Pernilla and Kajsa. The idea was to serve towards guests, but this day it was no bookings unfortually... But they where happy anyway, because then they could try the food and the teachers had time to evaluate their works.
